व्याख्या (Explanation )
1. Interrogative Sentence Indirect Speech 6, at ‘asked’ Reporting Verb होगा और 11 11 ‘हटाने के बाद ‘that’ का प्रयोग नहीं करेंगे। सही प्रयोग The man asked him where he lived.
2. ‘will’ के बाद V1 का प्रयोग होगा, ‘started’ के स्थान पर ‘start’ का प्रयोग उचित होगा।
3. जब Universal truth की बात हो, तो Indirect Speech में Verb का Tense परिवर्तित नहीं होता है। ‘was’ के स्थान पर ‘is’ का प्रयोग होगा।
4. Indirect Speech ‘the previous day’ main gan & farm an *Direct Speech के अंदर Past Tense का प्रयोग हुआ होगा (yesterday को the previous day में बदला जाता है)। अत: Indirect Speech में बदलते समय Past Tense Past Perfect Tense में बदल जायेगा। ‘went’ के स्थान पर ‘had gone’ का प्रयोग होगा।
5. Imperative Sentence को Indirect Speech में वदलते समय हटा कर V1 के आगे ‘to’ लगा देते हैं। ‘his men attack’ के स्थान पर ‘his men to attack’ का प्रयोग होगा।
6. चूँकि वाक्य Past Tense (Reporting Verb ‘asked’ है) में है, अत: ‘know’ के स्थान पर ‘knew’ का प्रयोग होगा।
7. वाक्य में आशीर्वाद देने का भाव है, अत: ‘cursed’ के स्थान पर ‘blessed” का प्रयोग होगा।
8. Imperative Sentence है जिसमें request का भाव है। अत: told के स्थान पर requested लगायँगे, ‘please’ हट जायेगा और ‘to’ का प्रयोग करेंगे। वाक्य इस प्रकार होगा – I requested him to give me his notes.
9. ‘told’ के बाद ‘to’ का प्रयोग नहीं होता है। सही प्रयोग होगा- Ravi told me.
10. Indirect Speech Interrogative Sentence, Affirmative Sentence में बदल जाता है अर्थात् H. V. Subject के बाद प्रयुक्त होगा (Interrogative में H. V. Subject के आगे प्रयुक्त होता है) ‘was my name’ के स्थान पर ‘my name was’ होगा।
11. Imperative Sentence है जिसे Indirect Speech में बदलते समय हटा कर ‘that’ नहीं लगाते वरन to’ का प्रयोग करते हैं। that’ हटा कर ‘to’ का प्रयोग करेंगे।
12. Indirect Speech में ‘these’ के बदले ‘those’ का प्रयोग होगा।
13. ‘to not spend’ गलत प्रयोग है। ‘to’ का प्रयोग ‘not’ के बाद होगा ‘not to spend’ सही प्रयोग होगा।
14. यदि Interrogative word (who, what why etc.) दिया हो, तो If whether का प्रयोग नहीं होगा। सही प्रयोग होगा- I asked him why he was going to Delhi.
15. ‘proposed’ का प्रयोग होने पर ‘let’ का प्रयोग नहीं करेंगे और Subject के बाद ‘should’ का प्रयोग होगा- She proposed that they should play in park.
16. Indirect speech ч ‘yesterday’- ‘the previous day’ change जाता है।
17. ‘forbade’ स्वयं में Negative होता है, अतः इसके बाद ‘not’ का प्रयोग नहीं होगा। सही प्रयोग होगा- Mother forbade me to play on the road.
18. Indirect speech Exclamation word- Hurrah, Alas 3f an yan नहीं होता है। यहाँ ‘hurrah’ हटा कर ‘with pleasure का प्रयोग होगा।
19. Imperative Sentence में V1 के आगे ‘to’ का प्रयोग करते हैं | Indirect Speech में to keep silence in the class होगा।
20. Universal Truth की स्थिति में Indirect Speech में भी Present Indefinite Tense का ही प्रयोग होता है (भले ही Reporting speech Past Tense में हो)। अत: ‘gave’ के स्थान पर ‘gives’ का प्रयोग होगा।
