(i) Newspaper
(ii) Importance of games and sports
(iii) My hobby
(iv) Nationalism
(v) The subject you like most
Ans-  5.                                                        (i) Newspaper
Newspaper is a very powerful medium of speading information among people. Information is a very vital thing as we need to know what is happening around us. Also, awareness to the happenings at our surrounding helps us in better planning and decision. Government and other official announcements are done in a newspaper. Government and private sector employment related information like job vacancies and different competitive related information are also published in the newspaper. Newspaper is the ideal source of increasing current affairs.
(ii) Importance of games and sports
Games and sports play a very significant role in our life. Life is dull without games. They train our minds and shape our thinking. Games and sports develop in us the spirit of cooperation, honesty and sportsmanship. A sportsman has a healthy spirit of competition. The things he learns on the playground help him in life. Games provide good training in discipline and organisation.
                                                                    (iii) My hobby
My hobby is playing cricket. It makes me feel fresh and energetic. If play it daily after school with my friends in the playground, behind my house. Playing outdoor games makes us physically fit. It also boosts the concentration of the mind. I think cricket is much better than sitting hours in front of the computer screen or playing video games. My passion for playing cricket has also won me the captaincy in my school cricket team. My family motivates me to play well and study hard.
                                                                   (iv) Nationalism
Nationalism means the spirit of devotion to the nation, which must permeate the hearts and minds of every citizen of the country. This is the reason why national anthem is played in educational institutions, and now even in cinema halls before the start of the movies, and the curriculum is enriched with the life stories about the nation’s great sons, heroes and the freedom fighters. Nationalism is the feeling which gives courage and strength to the soldiers to guard the borders of their country. If the citizens stand united despite being the followers of different religions, speaking different languages, and practicing diverse cultures of their regions, no internal or external threat can harm their country. India is a prominent example of this all-pervasive sense of nationalism that has always served the nation well.
                                                                 (v) The subject you like most
For me, I liked English the most. If we don’t have English lessons, we won’t know how to speak properly. We also learned about manners in speaking. We have to say excuse, me and stuff. If I don’t have English lessons, I would not know how to speak. I am an extrovert so then I like being friends with people and communicating. So then I learned how to speak. I like my teacher too. He is really kind. So to summarize, English is my favorite subject.

Q- 11. You are Kavya. Write a speech in about 60-70 words to be delivered on the occasion of “Children’s Day”.
Ans- Honourable Principal, respected teachers and dear friends. I am Kavya of class X. The topic I am speaking about is Children’s day. Today we are celebrating Children’s Day that commemorates India’s First Prime Minister Jawarharlal Nehru’s birth Anniversary every year. Children fondly call him Chacha Nehru. Seeing his tremendous love for children, the day is observed as Children’s Day which is a great tribute to this great soul. He poured great affection on Children wherever he went,
whether in the country or abroad.
He had good tuning with his daughter Indira, which is  revealed from the letters they had written to each other. This day is celebrated in all the schools of the country. As per some newspaper, children will attend National Stock Exchange (NSE), as per of UNICEF’s Programme.
          Thank you.
