व्याख्या (Explanation )
1. ‘lend’ के स्थान पर ‘borrow’ का प्रयोग होगा। ‘lend’ का अर्थ है ‘उधार’ देना’ और ‘borrow’ का अर्थ है ‘उधार लेना ।
2. ‘did not’ के बाद V1 का प्रयोग होगा V2 का नहीं। अत: ‘gave’ के स्थान पर ‘give’ का प्रयोग होगा।
3. ‘whether’ का प्रयोग हुआ है जिसका तात्पर्य है कि वाक्य Interrogative रहा होगा, अत: ‘said’ के स्थान पर ‘asked’ का प्रयोग होगा ।
4. ‘drunk’ के स्थान पर ‘drunken’ का प्रयोग होगा।
5. ‘have’ के बाद V3 का प्रयोग होता है, अत: ‘help’ के स्थान पर ‘helped’ का प्रयोग किया जायेगा ।
6. ‘mistake’ के लिए ‘make’ का प्रयोग होता है, ‘do’ का नहीं । सही Phrase है ‘make a mistake’ । अत: ‘done’ के स्थान पर ‘made’ का प्रयोग होगा ।
7. ‘discovered’ के स्थान पर ‘invented’ का प्रयोग होगा। ‘discover’ का अर्थ है ‘खोजना’ और ‘invent’ का अर्थ है ‘आविष्कार करना ।
8. ‘broadcast’ का V2 व V3 भी ‘broadcast’ ही है, अत: ‘broadcasted’ के स्थान पर ‘broadcast’ का प्रयोग होगा।
9. जब ‘hang’ का प्रयोग ‘फाँसी पर लटकाना’ के अर्थ में किया जाए तो उसका V3 होगा – ‘hanged’. ‘hung’ के स्थान पर ‘hanged’ का प्रयोग होगा।
10. ‘laid’ के स्थान पर ‘lay’ का प्रयोग होगा, क्योंकि ‘lie’ का अर्थ ‘लेटना’ और इसका Past Form ‘lay’ होता है, जबकि ‘lay’ का अर्थ ‘लेटाना’ है और इसका Past Form ‘ laid’ होता है।
11. Active Voice में Modal Auxiliary के बाद V1 का प्रयोग होगा, अंत: ‘ held’ के स्थान पर ‘ hold’ का प्रयोग होगा।
12. वाक्य चूँकि Present Tense में है, अत: ‘wanted’ के स्थान पर ‘ wants’ का प्रयोग होगा।
13. ‘dare’ के स्थान पर ‘dares’ का प्रयोग होगा, क्योंकि ‘dare’ का प्रयोग ” to challenge’ के अर्थ में main verb के रूप में किया गया है।
14. ‘uses to talk’ के स्थान पर ‘talks’ का प्रयोग होगा। Present habit को बताने के लिए Simple Present Tense का प्रयोग होता है । ‘ uses to talk’ गलत प्रयोग है।
15. पहला clause Simple Past Tense में है तो दूसरा clause Simple Future Tense में (पर will का Past Form ) होगा । ‘could’ के स्थान पर ‘would’ का प्रयोग होगा।
16. ‘was to go ‘ के स्थान पर ‘ had to go’ का प्रयोग होगा ।
17. ‘told’ का प्रयोग दर्शाता है कि वाक्य Past Tense का है अत: ‘thinks’ के स्थान पर ‘ thought’ का प्रयोग होगा।
18. ‘nothing but’ के पहले यदि do/does / did के बजाय Main Verb का प्रयोग हुआ हो, तो Sentence का Structure होगा-
S + M.V. + nothing but + to + V1 + ………
अत: ‘ earn’ के स्थान पर ‘to earn’ का प्रयोग होगा।
19. ‘know + to + V1 के स्थान पर ‘know + how + to + V1‘ का प्रयोग सही होगा । ‘to play ‘ के स्थान पर ‘how to play ‘ होगा ।
20. ‘prevent’ के बाद यदि gerund का प्रयोग हुआ है, तो उसके पहले ‘ from’ का प्रयोग होगा । सही प्रयोग होगा-
She prevented her husband from going there.
